Capitol Hill Engagement Day
The Capitol Hill portion of the Fly-In is where preparation turns into direct federal engagement. Participants will meet with Congressional offices to communicate a unified message around physical activity, prevention, affordability, and long-term health outcomes.
7:30 – 8:30 a.m. Breakfast and Final Briefing

This final preparation session reinforces messaging discipline, meeting strategy, logistics, and coordinated execution before participants depart for Capitol Hill meetings.
8:30 a.m. Bus Departure to Capitol Hill
Transportation departs for Capitol Hill as participants transition from preparation into direct congressional engagement.
9:00 a.m. Capitol Photo
A group photo on the steps of the US Capitol reinforces the industry’s unified advocacy presence and national engagement.
9:30 a.m.– 4:00 p.m. Congressional Meetings
Participants will meet directly with Congressional offices to discuss physical activity as prevention infrastructure and opportunities to improve health outcomes through scalable, community-based engagement. Conversations will focus on federal prevention policy, implementation pathways, Medicare and CMS engagement, affordability, access, and long-term healthcare cost reduction.
4:00 – 6:00 p.m. From Meetings to Momentum: Capturing Insights and Next Steps
VIDA Penthouse Poolclub 1212 4th Street, SE Washington, DC
Debrief and Happy Hour Participants reconvene to share takeaways, discuss opportunities, coordinate follow-up efforts, and strengthen long-term advocacy engagement strategies. The time is designed to ensure Fly-In conversations translate into sustained momentum beyond the event itself.
