Back by popular demand: Campus Challenge.

Once again, SportsArt is inspiring college students in communities across the US (and into Canada) to step up their sustainability practices through the Campus Challenge.

In a simple TikTok or Instagram reel, students are challenged to explain how they plan to promote a healthier environment in their communities and are thus entered to win one of three ECO-POWR sustainable cardio equipment packages totaling $140,000 for their campus recreation center. In honor of the 75th anniversary of NIRSA (National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association), the grand prize, included in the total package, is valued at $75,000!

ECO-POWR is the world’s first complete line of cardio equipment that can convert human-generated energy into clean, reusable energy that can offset the facility’s energy consumption. This year, students and student organizations get even more in return for accepting the challenge, with new cash prizes added!

In addition to the campus rec equipment packages, each of the three winners gets cash for themselves and for their chosen on-campus sustainability student organization.

The grand prize winner gets $3,000 for themselves and another $3,000 for their chosen student organization. Second place gets $2,000 each and third place gets $1,000 each. Entries received the previous year went beyond recycling and included the use of reusable water bottles, solar panels, alternative transportation, water conservation, using LED lights, composting, and driving electric vehicles.

Now the question is, what will students have in store this time around?

For more than 47 years, SportsArt has been rooted in social consciousness and has stepped up to the challenge to change the world one workout at a time. Now, students around the nation will continue to prove how they can successfully inspire change on their campus and motivate others to step up to the planet’s environmental challenges.
