Your Inbox Just Got Smarter

Our new online publication is an immersive communication platform where the global industry will have a clear and powerful voice.

Last summer, HFA decided that Health & Fitness Business would no longer be distributed as a print publication beginning with the January 2026 issue. It wasn’t an easy decision. For more than 40 years, HFB (formerly Club Business International) reliably landed in our members’ mailboxes to keep them informed about the global industry and the work of the association.

HFB will now be available exclusively online. But this isn’t like any other online industry publication. HFB is hosted on an immersive, interactive platform that makes the content come alive with video, animated infographics, and other multimedia features. You won’t just read HFB—you’ll experience it.

The mission of HFB won’t change. We’ll continue to feature monthly themes and drill down into the stories behind the headlines. We’ll report on the business of the global health and fitness industry, while providing tools to help our readers achieve greater success in their business endeavors.

HFB will also be available to more readers than ever before. We believe the growth of the industry and the increased influence of HFA research and advocacy demand more expressive communication channels to keep the industry informed and united. The publication will also be fully responsive on mobile devices, which gives readers more options in accessing our content.

“We promise that in an online world where AI slop is gobbling up cyberspace, HFB will be lively and immersive, crafted by experienced journalists who will be calling on top thought leaders inside and outside the industry.”

Alive, Not AI

You’ll want to make sure you are signed up to receive HFB every month in your inbox. We know that most people’s email accounts are stuffed with marketing messages and sales pitches. “Spamalot” is not only a stage musical written by members of legendary British comedy troupe Monty Python, but it also describes what most people encounter when they access their email every day.

You’ll be happy to see HFB arrive each month in your inbox. We promise that in an online world where AI slop is gobbling up cyberspace, HFB will be lively and immersive, crafted by experienced journalists who will be calling on top thought leaders inside and outside the industry. You can’t miss it, because your colleagues will be talking about what they read in the latest issue of HFB.

This evolution of HFB was made with our readers in mind. Our lifestyles have changed dramatically. To communicate well is to meet people where they are. So visit healthandfitnessbusiness.org and make sure you’re signed up to receive HFA’s flagship publication. Then, let us know what you think of our new platform by contacting editor@healthandfitness.org.

HFB isn’t just changing—it’s charging ahead and redefining the experience of reading a monthly online publication. We hope you take the journey with us.
