AROUND THE WORLD WITH HFA
Keynotes Announced for the 2026 HFA European Congress
The event will gather industry leaders from more than 35 countries in London in September.
The agenda is set. HFA has confirmed Olympic triathlon champion Alistair Brownlee and fitness-technology executive Steffie Bryant as keynote speakers for the 2026 HFA European Congress, set for September 24-26 at London Stadium in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Registration is open.
The Congress will operate under the theme "One Vision, One Voice," reflecting HFA’s push to unite the global fitness industry around shared advocacy and a coordinated response to the obesity crisis. More than 40 innovators, strategists, and industry leaders are scheduled to appear as keynote speakers, panelists, and presenters, with attendees expected from more than 35 countries.
The event is presented in partnership with ukactive and hosted by David Minton, founder of EVOLVE, formerly known as Leisure DB. The Congress has grown into the fitness industry’s premier European gathering for movers and shakers, drawing senior executives, operators, suppliers, and investors for two days of sessions and panels on issues shaping the European market. After the two days of the conference sessions, attendees who have added the club tour to their registration will break into smaller groups on the third day for tours of fitness facilities across the host city. “We are delighted to bring the 2026 HFA European Congress to London in partnership with David Stalker, Cameron Saunders, and the team at ukactive," says HFA Interim President and CEO Greta Wagner. "London is one of the world’s leading hubs for innovation, health and fitness, making it the ideal setting for this year’s Congress. We are also thrilled to have David Minton serving as the official host of the program, bringing his deep industry knowledge and longstanding leadership within the European fitness community to this event."
The two keynote speakers were chosen to reflect that intersection of technology, performance, and public health that will define the industry’s next decade.
"The future of fitness will be shaped by leaders who can embrace innovation while keeping people at the center of the experience," Wagner says. "Steffie Bryant and Alistair Brownlee exemplify that balance. Both have built their careers in the United Kingdom while making a global impact through technology, performance, entrepreneurship, and community engagement. Their keynotes will challenge attendees to think differently about how they lead, grow, and create lasting value in an evolving marketplace."
