American Council on Exercise
The American Council on Exercise (ACE) has promoted Amanda Cass to president and COO. With a 20-year tenure with ACE, most recently as the COO, Cass has led ACE’s finance, operations, and human resources functions and played a pivotal role in advancing ACE’s long-term strategic vision, including its shift toward delivering more evidence-based, approachable, and engaging educational experiences. “Amanda is a proven and trusted leader whose operational expertise and strategic foresight are exactly what ACE needs as we enter our fifth decade,” says Cedric X. Bryant, Ph.D., FACSM, the CEO of ACE.

Mental Wellbeing Association
The Mental Wellbeing Association (MWA) is expanding its curriculum to focus on the link between nutrition and mental well-being. Backed by extensive research from the John W. Brick Mental Health Foundation, MWA is advancing the message that food is a tool for emotional resilience, cognitive clarity, and mood regulation. The organization is training fitness professionals to understand how nutrition affects a client’s motivation, stress response, and emotional capacity to engage in training. The initiative highlights powerful foods for mental wellness—nutrient-dense options that support neurotransmitter function, gut-brain communication, and inflammation regulation.

SCW Fitness Education
SCW Fitness Education is hosting a new Fit Pro MANIA convention in partnership with the AB Show. San Diego MANIA is November 6–8, 2025, at the San Diego Convention Center, and fitness professionals can attend live or stream online. The event includes six certifications and 100 workshops on personal training, group fitness, Pilates, yoga, strength, stretching, HIIT, dance, and more. Attendees can earn up to 20 CECs/CEUs from SCW, ACE, AEA, AFAA, ACSM, NASM, and others. MANIA attendees also have free access to the AB Show Expo, featuring more than 200 booths.

Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SFIA)
The Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SFIA) has announced the pilot VetsEXCEL Career Development and Mentorship Program, which supports military veterans as they transition into civilian careers in the sports and fitness industry. The experience combines hands-on professional development, one-to-one mentorship, career coaching, and industry access. Ten service members will make up the inaugural cohort. “SFIA is committed to providing guidance, connections, and resources that support our veterans and showcase the amazing civilian careers available to them across the sports and fitness industry,” says Todd Smith, president and CEO of SFIA.

Core Health & Fitness
Core Health & Fitness has acquired select assets from Aktiv Solutions and Gym Rax to add to its capabilities in functional design, small-space optimization, and digital training integration for vertical markets, including hospitality, corporate wellness, and multi-family housing. Core is expanding its product portfolio to help its partners better serve consumers with enhanced fitness experiences in optimized spaces, according to the company. This acquisition reinforces the company’s commitment to supporting facility development from concept to grand opening and beyond. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Hyperwear
Hyperwear was ranked for the first time on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies after its revenue increased 85% from 2022 through 2024. During that period, Hyperwear expanded its product line to include the Hyper Vest FIT for women and the HyperRuck with FlexLoad. It also advanced sustainability with its patent-pending FlexLoad weights that are made from 100% recycled steel. “Our small, passionate team proves you can scale without sacrificing quality using research-driven design and a value-driven product development approach,” says Dirk Buikema, founder and CEO of Hyperwear.

Life Fitness
The Owatonna location of Life Fitness/Hammer Strength was the winner in the Best Places to Work category in the 2025 Best of the Best—Southern Minnesota and the 2025 Best of the Best—Owatonna & Waseca Reader’s Choice awards, hosted by the Owatonna People’s Press. Community members nominate and vote for local businesses. “This award reflects the strong culture our team in Owatonna has built—grounded in teamwork and a commitment to doing great work every day,” says Jim Pisani, CEO of Life Fitness/Hammer Strength.

Precor
Precor has selected Canali System as its new exclusive distributor for Italy. Known locally for its scientific approach, Canali System will manage sales, installation, service, and warehousing of Precor’s full portfolio of strength, cardio, connected fitness, and wellness products. Customers also can access Canali System’s Auxotonic 2.0 and Flexibility lines. The distributor will support Precor’s continued commitment and direct representation to customers in the region. “There is huge demand and desire for Precor in the Italian market, which we experienced firsthand at RiminiWellness,” says Derek Burke, senior business manager at Precor.

Wattbike
Wattbike has debuted the Healthspan Score, a science-backed metric that turns complex cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) data into a single, easy-to-understand number. Exercisers can use the Healthspan Check workout to get their score in just six minutes. “It helps people understand not just how fit they are, but what that means for their long-term health,” says Eddie Fletcher, lead sport scientist at Wattbike. “This benchmark is a motivational milestone for users.” Now live on the Wattbike Performance Touchscreen 2, the Healthspan feature will roll out to the free Wattbike Hub app soon.

Ecore
Ecore International has acquired HTI Recycling, a tire collection, recycling, reuse, and crumb rubber manufacturer. The acquisition includes HTI subsidiaries Edge Rubber Recycling and D&G Heavy Equipment Leasing and brings together family-run businesses that offer high-quality products and services to support a more circular economy. As part of this acquisition, Ecore welcomes 81 new employees to its team. “This acquisition is a meaningful step in Ecore’s strategy to rid the world of rubber waste by strengthening our supply chain and expanding our scale,” says Art Dodge, CEO of Ecore.

Hyperice
Hyperice recently launched the Hyperice X 2, the next generation of its contrast therapy line. The portable Hyperice X 2 Knee and Hyperice X 2 Shoulder feature major upgrades, including deeper cold, stronger heat, and a built-in compression system for more effective warm-ups and recovery. Additional new features include an all-in-one OLED display, manual and Bluetooth compatibility, and an extended battery life. “These products maintain the mobility and power of their predecessors while fusing contrast therapy and compression into a sleek, more practical design,” says Jim Huether, CEO of Hyperice.

Therabody
While Therabody has long accepted HSA and FSA payments, it has partnered with Flex for expanded access to its products. Customers can continue to use HSA/FSA funds at checkout but now have a new option of a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) for eligible products. People with qualifying conditions can instantly access a LMN at checkout, unlocking HSA/FSA eligibility for previously non-covered products, including the TheraFace Mask, SmartGoggles, and SleepMask. “Partnering with Flex is a huge step in helping more people take better care of their health,” says Monty Sharma, CEO of Therabody.

ABC Fitness
ABC Fitness has launched ABC Trainerize Business, an all-in-one solution that combines business management, appointment booking, payments, client referrals, and on-demand coaching into one seamless platform. It also includes a prospect management system to organize and track leads. Designed for fitness coaches, personal trainers, and studios, ABC Trainerize Business allows clients to book, buy, and train from one app. “Coaches need technology that helps them acquire clients, deliver exceptional experiences, and grow their business without adding to their workload,” says Sharad Mohan, co-founder and platform growth leader at ABC Fitness.

ClassPass
ClassPass members now can book sessions at more than sixty 30 Minute Hit locations throughout the United States and Canada. 30 Minute Hit is a high-intensity circuit workout for women comprised of 13 stations that blend boxing, kickboxing, strength training, and core training. Because there are no set class times, members can drop in at their convenience for one-on-one instruction. “This partnership deepens our commitment to offering top-tier fitness options that meet people where they are and support their goals,” says Fritz Lanman, CEO of Playlist, the parent brand of ClassPass.

Daxko
Daxko and VolunteerMatters have launched an integration that bridges member and volunteer data to provide real-time insights into how individuals participate in nonprofit organizations. With synchronized profiles, staff of nonprofit organizations such as YMCAs and JCCs can eliminate data silos, automate tasks, identify their most committed community members, and act on a holistic understanding of their community. “This integration turns disconnected data into actionable insight, so nonprofits can engage more deeply, operate more efficiently, and build communities that thrive for decades,” says Wendy White, chief marketing and partner officer at Daxko.

Echelon Fitness
Echelon Fitness has acquired FORTË, a B2B fitness streaming platform, and has rebranded this division as ELEVATE by Echelon. Founded in 2015 and integrating with all major member management systems, FORTË enables gyms and boutique studios to fully automate and deliver branded live and on-demand fitness experiences. “With Echelon’s US-based technology team and FORTË’s innovative solutions, we can now combine our strengths to offer even more robust, reliable solutions for enterprise customers to provide intelligent, accessible, and personalized fitness and wellness experiences—anytime, anywhere,” says Lou Lentine, CEO of Echelon Fitness.

Fitness On Demand
Fitness On Demand has partnered with Endurance Zone to deliver high-value, personalized perks and retail discounts to users through an integrated rewards experience. Endurance Zone’s member engagement technology will be integrated into the Fitness On Demand platform to provide users with premium discounts and wellness offers from top global lifestyle brands. “Fitness is more than just a workout, it’s a lifestyle,” says Andy Peat, CEO of Fitness On Demand. “By teaming up with Endurance Zone, we’re giving our users access to meaningful, real-world benefits that support motivation, recovery, and long-term well-being.”

Les Mills
Les Mills has introduced LES MILLS YOGA, a series of four 45-minute classes. Among them: LES MILLS YOGA YIN for deep stretching, relaxation, and restoration; LES MILLS YOGA HATHA for mobility, stability, and alignment; LES MILLS YOGA VINYASA, an energizing flow that builds heat, strength, and flexibility; and LES MILLS BREATH for mental clarity, focus, and emotional release. “We wanted to make it easy for clubs to provide credible and effective mind/body movement that feels right for them and is easy to scale,” says Fraser Beck, co-creator of LES MILLS YOGA.

Sunny Health & Fitness
Sunny Health & Fitness recently launched the 2.0 version of the Sunny AI Fitness Coach in its free SunnyFit app. An intuitive platform for home exercisers, the 2.0 version incorporates enhanced personalization, expanded workout options, and seamless integration with Sunny’s connected fitness equipment, including treadmills, exercise bikes, rowers, ellipticals, and strength machines. Users first answer a few quick questions about their fitness goals, available time, equipment, and current fitness level. The AI then delivers a tailored workout plan that adapts over time, offering modifications, alternatives, and progress tracking to keep users going.

Zumba Fitness
Zumba Fitness Party, a family-friendly fitness experience, has launched on Nex Playground to bring high-energy dance sessions to homes. It combines immersive motion tracking with simple setup, real-time gamified feedback, and live scoring to make physical fitness enjoyable and engaging for people of all ages and abilities. Sessions include built-in progression, and participants can revisit their favorite works to aim for higher scores. “We’re excited to reach new audiences where they are and show more people that fitness can feel like a celebration,” says Carolina Moraes, the chief marketing officer of Zumba.
